Prangnell :::: Rapkin :::: Sarratt
Prangnell and Rapkin stamp albums have been quietly popular with a loyal band of collectors for decades, largely due to their fairly steady specifications. We kept wide stocks of these but have recently found supplies more difficult to maintain, and are now clearing the remaining stocks we hold. Please note that due to changes of ownership, these albums and pages sometimes bear the name "Sarratt Bookbinders" or "Walter Newbury", but they are to the same specifications as the original items by Rapkin or Prangnell. The exact colour of paper has varied over the years, so we cannot guarantee that the pages we supply will exactly match the shade of any existing pages you may have.
Items on this list are all in stock as at today's date. Of some we have reasonable stocks, but of others we have only one or two. We are also including some "antiquated" items which have not been produced for many years, and some second-hand stock we also hold.

Albums/Binders - Quality
In the quality in which you would expect a new item to be available, or with the amount of wear that would only be seen by very close inspection.
We would expect the majority of our customers to accept this standard as “new”, even though they might be top-grade second-hand.
On quick inspection can be seen not to be new, but with only slight wear or marks (which might include e.g. a name written inside).
A binder that has obviously had use and wear, and may have any one of, or a combination of, the following – fading, worn corners, small splits, scratches, neat marks (e.g. volume number on spine). It will look pre-used, but should not be unsightly.
May well not be pretty, with possibly marks, scratches, small tears, writing and/or labels, fading, etc. The important thing is that the mechanism (springback or rings) is still ok, and the album will do the job of holding pages.
All descriptions of quality are subjective, so if you are fussy, please speak to us first to get a description.
