               mint and used stamps up to about 1929. Apparently untouched and unpicked, there is good
               coverage in almost all countries, with better items throughout. The UK is particularly strong,
               and includes 1840 penny blacks used (8), 1840 2d used (4), 1847-54 embossed set used,
               various used surface-printed, 1891 £1 green fair used, 1902-13 KE7 set to 1/- mixed m.m.
               (the bicolour 4d used), 2/6 to 10/- mixed used, £1 mounted mint (some creases), 1913-18
               Seahorses fine m.m., £1 used (fine but for rough perfs), Army Official KE7 set (3) m.m.,
               and others. Other countries are of mixed strength; some have an odd classic or two, some
               have useful mint KG5 (typically short sets, but sometimes with high values). Some more
               attractive countries are Bahamas, Cape of Good Hope, Gambia, Gold Coast, India, Ireland,
               K.U.T., New South Wales, N. & S. Nigeria, Papua, Rhodesia, St. Kitts-Nevis, Seychelles,
               and Straits.
               Condition is on the whole good to fine, many are very fine, but in a real old collection such
               as this, a crop of faulty stamps will be found. (Approximate quantity 3,000 stamps)

     QE. Nearly all m.m./l.m.m., a very few used, and though mainly fine there is a scattering with
