POSTAL AUCTION
OF
WORLD METER MARKS
AND
U.K. SLOGAN POSTMARKS

Closing time for bids 6pm Monday 19 June 2006
(i.e. allowing people attending the public Stamp Auction to collect any purchases).

This is an extensive and outstanding collection of this quite specialised area. Estimates have been made bearing in mind the fact that demand is quite limited, but it is possible that some individual lots may easily exceed their estimates.

All notes, rules, comments, and bid steps noted in the main Stamp Auction catalogue apply also to this sale, unless otherwise stated. You may use the bid form attached, or the bid form for the main Stamp Auction. Lots in this sale start at no. 601.

Viewing arrangements are the same as for the main auction (including most lots being at the normal auction view on 19 June). Full viewing details on page 3.

Meters and Slogans, 19 June 2006           Page 3                                     Estimate.

                   Meter Marks; United Kingdom.
This collection is meticulously arranged on pages in folders apparently according to machine
type, machine code number, etc. Thorough description would be very wordy and time-consuming, but
we are happy to have enquiries by phone by anybody who is unable to view. We have split the collection into broad groups by the boxful. Some of the material contained is in fact scarce, but we accept that even scarce meter marks are often very cheap, so nobody with an interest should have any difficulty with these estimates.
